ABOUT THE CHAPTER

A Yemeni community for an Internet that serves everyone

A registered not-for-profit chapter based in Sana’a, working to advance the Internet Society’s goals in Yemen and contribute to its regional and global mission.

Our origin and mission

ISOC Yemen was founded and officially registered with the Internet Society in August 2013, following the work of Yemeni Internet and information-technology experts seeking to improve Internet services and their use in Yemen.

The chapter sees the Internet as a resource for opportunity, collaboration, learning and innovation, and works to turn that potential into local dialogue and initiatives.

Our global relationship

We are a local chapter within the global Internet Society network. Chapters bring community members together and add local perspectives to emerging issues while advancing an open, globally connected, secure Internet for everyone.
